Vertex Prints — Terms of Use

By using Vertex Prints you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

What Vertex Prints is

Vertex Prints is a reservation app that connects you to a single operator ("Sawyer") who owns and runs a personal 3D printer. You browse a curated catalog, request a reservation, exchange a few messages to confirm price and color, and pay in person when you pick up the finished print. The app is not a marketplace, not a payment processor, and not a shipping service.

No in-app purchases

Vertex Prints does not collect any payment inside the app. All payment for prints happens in person at pickup, between you and the operator, in whatever form you mutually agree on (cash, Venmo, etc.). Vertex Prints is not a party to that payment.

Reservations are estimates, not contracts

Every reservation starts as a request. The operator may accept, quote, counter, or decline a request for any reason. Until the operator accepts a quote, the reservation is not binding. Quotes are estimates — final price may change based on actual filament use, print time, or failures, and the operator will tell you before printing if the price changes materially.

Cancellations and failures

• You may cancel a reservation at any time before printing begins at no cost.
• If a print has already started, the operator may charge a partial fee for filament and machine time already used.
• If a print fails through no fault of yours, the operator will either reprint it at no charge or cancel the reservation. Refunded credits are returned to your balance.

Acceptable use

You agree not to request prints that:

• Infringe someone else's copyright, trademark, or other rights (upload only models you have permission to use).
• Are illegal, weapons, weapon components, or functional firearm parts.
• Are sexual, hateful, harassing, or otherwise materially offensive.
• Would endanger the operator or their equipment.

The operator may decline any request, remove any reservation, and suspend any account at their sole discretion.

Credits, referrals, and coupons

• In-app credits have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money. They can only be applied as a discount against a reservation estimate before printing begins.
• Referral rewards are granted when a referred friend's first order reaches paid / delivered status. Self-referral and fraudulent referrals will be reversed.
• Coupons may have expirations, per-user limits, or total-use caps. The operator may revoke any coupon that is misused.

Intellectual property

Model thumbnails and titles displayed in the catalog are sourced from publicly available MakerWorld listings and are credited to their original creators. The finished physical print you pay for is yours. The underlying design remains the property of its creator.

Disclaimer

Vertex Prints is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. 3D-printed objects may have visible layer lines, small imperfections, or dimensional variation. The operator makes no guarantees about food-safety, structural load bearing, or fitness for any particular purpose. If you need a print for a safety-critical use, do not use Vertex Prints.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Weston Brown (the developer) is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Vertex Prints. Direct liability is limited to the price of the specific print in question.

Termination

You may stop using Vertex Prints and delete your account at any time via the in-app Delete account button. We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected on this page.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the state in which the operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
